And it gets so much worse… The report also states that the legislation will “increase by XX million the number of people without health insurance” by 2034. Thanks to Republicans slashing $X trillion from Medicaid funding, countless Americans will die or see their quality of life drastically decreased due to treatable illnesses and medical conditions. The bill passed along party lines without a single vote of Democratic support and was designed specifically to funnel even more wealth to the super-rich and the corporations that the MAGA movement exists to serve. Average Americans will suffer so that billionaires can afford a few more mega-yachts. The bill pumps billions of dollars into ICE for more fascist crackdowns and detainment centers that resemble concentration camps more and more with each passing day. It also slashes SNAP benefits that help low-income families buy groceries to survive and guts funding for clean energy. While the bill cuts $XXX trillion in spending, largely from programs that help average Americans, it also decreases revenue by $XXX trillion thanks to the unnecessary, plutocratic tax cuts. It is no exaggeration to say that the “big, beautiful bill” will go down as one of the most damaging pieces of legislation in American history. This is all out class warfare by right-wing elites on working Americans and it’s rendered all the more perverse by the fact that Republicans claim to be the party of “fiscal responsibility.” In practice, they have absolutely no problem skyrocketing the debt so long as the deficit spending goes towards tax cuts for the rich and military spending for endless wars.
