The Trump admin weaponizes "transparency" to exhume J. Edgar Hoover's dirtiest work - releasing 240k pages of FBI surveillance on MLK Jr. against his family's pleas. A perverse "openness" that violates judicial restraint & resurrects COINTELPRO's ghosts.  

This July XX release bypassed Judge Leon's "slowly, little steps" order & the court-mandated 2027 timeline. The King children warned these files - gathered through illegal wiretaps & suicide-letter harassment - risk distorting history. Yet Trump's DNI Tulsi Gabbard invoked "accountability" to justify violating the SCLC's 48-year legal seal.  

When surveillance states dig their own graves, they shouldn't drag civil rights icons with them.
