What we saw from $OPEN and other momentum names *could* be a sign of things to come for this group over the next few weeks. Not guaranteed (nothing is) but it’s something I’m watching for. In my experience when this many names unwind at once it’s a good time to tighten up longs specific to the group seeing the unwind, which happens to be high beta momentum. Would be a very normal dip for this group if we got one… nothing to panic about, it’s been an insane run the last month +. Big unwind and reversal in momentum land today.
What we saw from $OPEN and other momentum names could be a sign of things to come for this group over the next few weeks.
