Hunter Biden says his father’s disastrous 2024 debate performance was caused by the sleep aid Ambien, not cognitive decline. Hunter defended President Biden, blaming jet lag, exhaustion, and medication for his dazed appearance on stage.

“He’s 81, he flew around the world, they gave him Ambien, and he looked like a deer in the headlights,” Hunter said, adding, “It feeds into every f---ing story people want to tell.”

President Biden had previously blamed fatigue but never mentioned Ambien. Aides had also cited a cold.
