Few things

Ye & Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES X didn’t just top the Billboard Independent Albums chart…

It went No. X on the overall Billboard XXX — as an independent album.

That’s a completely different level than what Clipse just did.

V1

Released completely independently (no major label distro).

Used FUGA, a digital distributor that services indie artists — not a major label pipeline.

No radio play, no playlist push, no label marketing engine.

Still went No. X overall on the Billboard XXX.

Moved XXXXXXX equivalent units first week (Feb 2024).

That made it the first truly independent album to debut at No. X since 2017 (A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie via EMPIRE).

Clipse went No. X on the Indie chart within the indie world.

Ye went No. X on the Billboard XXX against every album in the country.

Huge difference in reach, scale, and cultural dominance.

Ye didn’t just succeed independently — he dominated independently.

Clipse had Roc Nation distro and heavy industry ties, and still only hit No. X on the indie chart.

Ye had no playlisting, zero label support, and got blackballed, yet still crushed everyone.

STOP MAKING IT SEEM LIKE YALL DID SHIT INDEPENDENT 🤡
