Warner played Theo, the only son of Cliff (portrayed by Bill Cosby) and Clair Huxtable (played by Phylicia Rashad), on "The Cosby Show" for all eight seasons of its Emmy-winning run on NBC. He received an Emmy nomination in 1986 for supporting actor in a comedy. His other roles included Malcolm McGee in the 1990s UPN sitcom "Malcolm & Eddie" and Dr. AJ Austin in the Fox medical drama "The Resident." Warner voiced the producer character who took phone calls from viewers at end of each episode of "The Magic School Bus,” the children's educational cartoon series that aired on PBS. Aside from acting, Warner won a Grammy in 2015 for best traditional R&B performance with his song "Jesus Children.” In 2023, he received a Grammy nomination for best spoken word poetry album with his album "Hiding in Plain View." Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who starred as Theo Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” has died. He was XX.
