The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Asiedu Nketia has recounted how he came to be known as General Mosquito in a new interview. 

According to him, the name stemmed from his audacious character which was likened to a Sierra Leonean revolutionary leader with the name, after he single handedly stopped the appointment of an alleged corrupt MP to become the Minister For Lands and Forestry at the time.
