First time offenders, drunk drivers etc will be offered to plead guilty at the cop shop and dealt with via an Inspector,

It’ll save thousands on wasted days at court for the police etc 

It’s not a new idea, people who want to plead not guilty or likely to receive custody will be dealt with at court 

•Minor Criminal Offenses:
Police courts handled a wide range of minor criminal matters, including petty theft, public order offenses, and certain traffic violations.
