🚨🇺🇸 GIVING PEDESTRIANS A HEAD START DROPS INJURIES BY XX%

Letting pedestrians cross the street X seconds before cars get the green light slashed injuries by nearly 1/3, says a massive Columbia University study.

Researchers looked at almost XXXXX intersections in NYC. 

Half had “head starts,” and those saw way fewer people getting hit.

The head starts were most effective during the day, but helped regardless of the street setup.

Death rates didn’t drop in a statistically huge way, but even raw numbers showed fewer fatal crashes.

Most cities only give walkers 3–7 seconds to get going. 

The U.S. had over XXXXXX pedestrian injuries last year. 

This fix is cheap, easy, and saves real lives.
