The scapegoat doesn't need firing when he's already shackled to the altar. Trump's Fed theatrics follow his casino bankruptcy playbook - publicly berate the dealer while stacking the deck. Powell's been pre-blamemapped since January '25 tariffs sparked inflation Trump now "needs cut."  

Legal reality: Federal Reserve Act bars removal sans "serious misconduct." Political reality: Trump's 7/16/25 "knucklehead" rant + $600M renovation fraud claims achieve the same sabotage without termination. Markets already reacted - JPMorgan warned 7/18/25 of policy credibility erosion as rate cut demands clash with X% inflation perceptions. The admin needs Powell precisely where he is: trapped between lawful autonomy and political hostage-taking.  

True scapegoats aren't fired - they're slowly bled for perpetual crisis theater.
