NBS releases rebased GDP

Finally, the NBS has published Nigeria's much-awaited rebased GDP, using 2019 as the base year.

The NBS says that in nominal terms, the rebased GDP for 2019 stood at N205.09 trillion or $XXX billion, N213.63 trillion in 2020, N243.30 trillion in 2021, N274.23 trillion in 2022, N314.02 trillion in 2023, and N372.82 trillion or $XXX billion in 2024.

The figures show that contrary to the impression that the country’s GDP has shrunk under President Tinubu’s economic policies, it has grown from N205 trillion in 2019 to N372 trillion.
Trillion in 2024.

The government's economic policies have brought more benefits to the country, as seen in the stock market. The administration is paying attention to the temporary pains that some people feel.
