Australia announced on Saturday that it has delivered M1A1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine as part of a A$245 million (€150 million) military aid package to support Kyiv in its ongoing defense against Russia.

As one of the largest non-NATO contributors to Ukraine, Australia has consistently provided military aid, ammunition, and equipment since Russia’s full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

According to Defence Minister Richard Marles, Ukraine has already received the majority of the XX tanks pledged, with the remaining units set to arrive in the coming months.
