@Kyle15359786 @BenPielstick Alaska's permanent dividend is the closest thing to UBI that has ever been tried long-term. 

It's been a big success. There's your example. 

Alaska is also not that corrupt and has great productivity despite their Universal Basic Income. (or because of it)
