India doesn’t appear in the very top tier of the worldwide safest cities list—according to the latest global ranking, the highest-ranked Indian city is Vadodara at 79th, followed by Ahmedabad (87th), Surat (98th), Navi Mumbai (111th), Thiruvananthapuram (127th), Chennai (133rd), and Pune (152nd). 

So, while Indian cities make the list, none are in the global top 50, with Vadodara currently being the safest in India by these international rankings.
