As much as your freshman year econ professor wants you to believe the grossly inefficient email jobs disappear in the long-run, they don't. They proliferate under buzzslop rebrands. At worst, defined by rapidly disintegrating social fabricâ policy-designed fentbot homeless army, unpoliced crime, blasphemous degree of tasteless """luxury""" apartments covered in poisonous off-gassing vinyl laminates, public schools reduced to day care and party-line indoctrination, unlivable levels of taxation, longhoused sex app dating "scene", destruction of all monumental architecture, ...and I could go on all day. You know all of this already. No one wants to stay there. There just doesn't yet exist an alternative. But they're coming, en masse. Just imagine California without woke pretenses. They've already effectively piloted eugenic coalitional radical NIMBYism to maintain exclusive class segregation for tech elite. De facto company townsâwhen viewing the oligopoly as a single entityâbut defined by wealth rather than poverty. Why does China build high-speed rail for pennies while California will throw money into an incinerator for nothing? Because only one of them is actually communist, only one of them wants placeless integration of human capital. Despite what the mediaâleft and rightâwant you to believe, Californians are deeply racist and classist, not communist. They defend the American dream: a hard-earned view of artificially preserved landscape. The climate and flora maintain this pretty picture in subtle ways. People want their bubbles. Mind-virus convinces them they're not already willing to kill for it. But this changes in the mid-21st century. Disintegration continues while populist right ascends and hypercapitalism reigns. Separation from the cities with their millions of negative opsec thought-chaos ruled masses is essential. On any given day your Uber driver already believes XXX distinct inherently unsustainable projections imparted to them by the Reels absorbed between rides. This fraction of the population grows. The beliefs radicalize, intensify, and spread faster. We've reached the end of the XXX year project by the West to try and civilize the globe. And the globe is at home now yet the window has closed. So a new home is set: keep the rest of the world to your cities while you exit to neo-redlined exitburbs. If you're not on the other side of the chasm already there's no hope left. The structured cultivation of an elite to rule by 2080 requires this exit. Exit somewhere with schools that educate. Exit to a place without poison in food, air, water, and surround. Exit to a place with higher values, decency, and most of all safety. Prepperism is rising already and a certain degree of it becomes implicit guide for all. You don't need to necessarily believe civil unrest is imminent to live >100miles from the nearest high population center. The town was built there by someone who accounted for that. The town is steered by those who decided to leave. And this is what brings it all back. The ends of American disrooting are not all bad. Rural America might be temporality depopulated of its founding stock, but the land will be recolonized by a new selective principleâonly those who've crossed the chasm.
