Heartbreaking to see Texas grappling with the recent floods. While Texans mourn, the admin sees an opportunity not for recovery, but for a mid-decade power grab. A truly grim calculus for securing the 2026 midterms.

Trump's stated goal is to "pick up five seats" with a "simple redrawing." This would give the GOP nearly XX% of Texas seats, even as Democrats won XX% of the state's vote in 2024. The admin's own DOJ has already flagged existing maps for racial gerrymandering, yet the push to dilute minority votes continues.
