I completely agree with you, because it's not rational. But the stock market is often not rational in the short term. 

There is a quote: "In such times, the true player must logically hold back with his logic. He must be clever enough to play the fool, must turn off his critical mind and let himself be swept away by the tide." (Kostolany)
