Trading is a funny industry

You have to be a logical and realistic person to win in trading - it stops you from breaking your rules or risking big on trades you’re “sure” will win

But at the same time, most logical and realistic people would stay well away from trading because of the low success rate and potential to lose money for years before finally succeeded (and some never succeed at all)

The best traders I’ve seen have a mixture of both

Their belief in themselves transcends all logic (give these guys a basketball tomorrow and they’d believe they’d make it to the NBA) - but at the same time their trading is risk-averse, logical and realistic
