The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) have confirmed that a major cyberattack has affected the databases of American financial institutions and federal courts. This attack targeted the networks of several major banks (such as JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America) and federal court records, posing a risk of unauthorized access to the financial data of millions of users and sensitive legal documents. CISA has preliminarily linked the attack to a foreign group, while the DOJ has initiated an investigation.
