The ALFA-X Shinkansen, a 10-car prototype developed by JR East, is undergoing testing on the Tohoku and Hokkaido Lines. Designed for future high-speed service between Tokyo and Sapporo, it can reach speeds of up to XXX km/h. 

Equipped with advanced safety features, including air and magnetic brakes, dampers, and snow-resistant technology, the ALFA-X aims to ensure reliable performance in all environments. Commercial operations are planned for the early 2030s.
