CASAREX 2025 joint Iranian-Russian exercise will start today in the Caspian Sea, Tasnim News Agency reports.

3-day exercise will be hosted by the Iranian Navy’s northern fleet with the aim of "upgrading maritime security and safety and enhancing cooperation among the naval forces of the Caspian countries." Besides Russian and Iranian Navy, servicemen from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy will also participate in the drill.

SB738 military vessel, dispatched by the Russian Navy, has already entered the territorial waters of Iran.
