Iran has conducted a suborbital test launch of its “Qased” satellite launch vehicle, aimed at evaluating new technologies under development in the country’s space program.

According to Iranian sources, data gathered from the test will be used to enhance the performance of future satellites and related space systems.

The Qased is a lightweight, three-stage launch vehicle developed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, designed to place small payloads into low Earth orbit (LEO).
