I actually strongly dislike Mehdi Hasan and think he’s a terrible person but he still comfortably defeated basically every single person in the Jubilee debate. This is because the right wing has a human capital problem as explained by @richardhanania. Smart people are not attracted to “autocracy” and other primitive ideas
