They may look alike but have distinct differences - Frog has longer legs, Toad has shorter legs - Frog has bigger bulgy eyes while Toad has a subtle less bigger eyes - Frogs are found in water, when on land are closer to water - Toad can be found on land (far from water sometimes) - Frogs have a smooth, moist skin, Toads have a dry scaly, bunny skin - Frogs can jump far while Toad crawl or hop they can't jump for far - Frogs look more athletic than Toad as they look fat - Frogs face is pointier while Toad is broad - They both lay their eggs in water but Frog's egg are laid in cluster while Toad are arranged in a chain - Frog do not produce Toxin, Toad produce Toxin at the back of their eyes from a kidney shape spot though the toxin are mild to human According to Efenakpo (2015) Frog traded in southwest are harvested & transported from the North from their natural habitat hence there's a need to start frog breeding farms for frogs lovers if not the frog harvesters might over harvest & deplete our frogs in their natural habitat. Nothing is wrong with eating a Frog 🐸, it's delicious & edible. You should try it too.
