🧭 Why Accuracy Matters (Especially for Me)

Let me clarify why, for me, posting anything - whether analysis, news, or commentary - comes with a far higher threshold than it might for others here.

I don’t operate from behind an anonymous avatar. I’m a real person, with a real name, a public profile, and a professional reputation that I take seriously. I’m also a business owner and partner in multiple ventures that rely on trust, credibility, and getting things right - because clients, partners, and regulators are always watching.

That’s why, whenever I share something, I’m not just motivated by a sense of conscience, ethics, or the pursuit of truth (although those matter deeply). I’m also bound by law - and I live in the United Arab Emirates, where those laws are particularly clear strict and most importantly, enforced.

So when I say I fact-check, verify, cross-reference, and do my utmost due diligence before I publish or share anything, I mean it. Not just because I want to, but because I have to.

And here’s what “have to” looks like:

⚖️ UAE Legal Framework for Online Content

Article XX – Spreading False Information
•Up to X year in prison and a minimum AED XXXXXXX fine for sharing false or misleading content.
•During a national crisis, penalties increase to X years in prison and AED XXXXXXX minimum.

Article XX – Use of Bots to Amplify Misinformation
•Creating or using automated bots to spread content carries up to X years in prison and an AED X million fine.

Federal Decree-Law No. X of 2015 – Combatting Discrimination and Hatred
•Criminalizes hate speech, incitement to religious or ethnic hatred, and defamation of faiths.
•Penalties range from X months to XX years in prison and AED XXXXXX to X million in fines.

So before anyone questions why I take accuracy so seriously, or accuses me of “overthinking it,” understand this:

I don’t have the luxury of playing fast and loose with facts. I live in a place where accountability is codified in law and where reputations, livelihoods, and liberty depend on responsible speech.

Disagree with my analysis? Fine. But don’t question the integrity of the process I follow to get there.
