🍜 China Cracks Down on Food Delivery Price War

China’s market regulator urged $BABA Ele_me, $MPNGY Meituan, and $JD to  rein in aggressive discounting and restore fair competition in the food  delivery sector.

🔹 SAMR called for “rational” competition and compliance with e-commerce and food safety laws
🔹 Platforms have slashed prices for months, driving daily orders from 100M to 250M
🔹 JD kicked off the war with a ¥10B campaign; Alibaba followed with ¥50B in subsidies
