So what really happened with 8.85x multiplier? @SuccinctLabs 

Due to high DB load, manual claiming was paused and never reopened. To fix this, @nair_advaith (dev) offered a fair solution: he would livestream a single random claim, and whatever multiplier he got (from 1x to 10x) would apply to everyone with pending stars

In the stream, he ended up pulling an 8.85x — he was lucky. It could’ve easily been a 1.01x, and we’d all have to live with that

He didn’t “gift” 8.85x to lazy people. He let pure randomness decide

Honestly if I claimed mine myself, I probably would’ve got 1.01x, so I’m happy😭
