Former Ukrainian Interior Ministry official found dead in Spain 

El Español reports that Ihor Hrushevskyi drowned under mysterious circumstances in the pool of the Cala Alta residential complex in Villajoyosa on June XX. The 61-year-old was found drowned with no signs of violence, though blood came from his ear. The cause of death is unknown; cardiac arrest or stroke are possible, but murder is not ruled out.  

Hrushevskyi previously served as a senior official in the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's Department for Combating Organized Crime and later in the National Police.

In 2024, Maksim Kuzminov, a Russian pilot who had defected to Ukraine in 2023 by hijacking a Mi-8 helicopter, was killed in an underground car park in Spain. Russian intelligence services claimed responsibility for the assassination.
