‼️The U.S. Special Envoy to #Syria, Tom Barrack, made a statement regarding the situation in Syria on his visit to #Beirut, #Lebanon: 

"What happened in Syria is horrific.

America cannot compel #Israel to do anything.

The #Syrian Government must be held accountable.

America is responding to developments in Al-Suwayda' with concern, pain, and assistance.

We will not send more troops on the ground under hostile conditions anywhere.

In Syria, there is pain and sympathy on our part, and the situation there is completely different from what exists here in Lebanon.

What is happening in Syria is the result of individual and tribal tensions. It is horrific and unbelievable, and the government must question this.

It is important to integrate minorities into the government in Syria."
