Saw a summary of Metaphysics of Sex’s main ideas the other day that was, bar-for-bar, the only opinion I’ve ever had of intimacy. Instant buy. I haven’t read a dedicated text on the matter since I finished De Sade and some Batailles ages ago. Should be interesting! I’ll never understand people who, having arrived at what they deem a definitive conception of their reality/ideology (i.e. how things are or ought to be), ignore thinkers they disagree with. If nothing else, you’ll likely arrive at a means for better articulating your own arguments by virtue of being familiar with their antithesis. It’s so important to be syncretic if you’re serious about arriving at a system of thought that authentically emerges from your person, your soul.
