I’ve written a more in-depth blog, but here’s the key idea: AMD’s chiplet architecture enables it to adapt to the evolving demands of the compute market at minimal marginal cost.

The demand for computation is, in principle, unlimited - so it’s too narrow to view the market as just CPUs and GPUs. As new forms of compute emerge - like FPGAs and edge accelerators - the ability to pivot and scale across these domains with minimal overhead becomes a major strategic advantage.
