Fairness shouldn’t just mean taxing the top, but encouraging responsibility across society. We already take half of successful people's income. Relying on a small group of earners to fund the livelihoods of everyone is not a sustainable strategy. Many of these individuals could relocate to other countries, and when they do, there's less money available to subsidize the rest—less investment, less growth, fewer jobs. A better solution is to eliminate government waste and ensure public funds are used efficiently. Expecting those who are capable of working to do so is also part of asking everyone to contribute their fair share.
