DePIN enables individuals to leverage their own machines to secure data sovereignty and generate economic value from it. At the same time, by tokenizing physical machines, it allows anyone to own or invest in these assets, creating economic benefits through tokenized capital as well.

Traditionally, capital has been perceived as a limited asset owned only by a few capitalists. However, projects like @peaq break down these barriers by providing an environment where anyone can own tokenized capital or convert their machines into productive assets that generate income.

This transformation distributes data ownership more broadly and introduces a new economic model where individuals can receive fair compensation for the data generated by the machines they own. It goes beyond mere technological innovation—it represents a paradigm shift in how assets and data are owned and utilized.

These two mechanisms of DePIN perfectly align with @Polkadot’s core Web3 values—decentralization, sovereignty restoration, and fair rewards—and form the foundation of a new decentralized economy where all participants can share in economic benefits.
