NEARLY DECAPITATED: MAN MURDERS HIS MOTHER, DUMPS HER BODY DOWN A TRASH CHUTE IN SOUTH BEACH

40-year-old Anthony Caruso is accused of killing his mother Elizabeth, mangling her body, and throwing her in a dumpster.

It happened at XXX Washington Avenue, Miami Beach.

Blood trailed from his apartment door to the chute. Cops found her nearly beheaded, bones shattered, locked inside a trash room.

An X hour SWAT standoff followed.
They had to use a taser and a K9 to drag him out.

Police say Caruso has a long history of mental illness. His mother had flown in from New Jersey just to check on him.

This is one of the most disturbing cases Miami Beach has ever seen.
