When @kaiynne unveiled Infinex Connect at Permissionless back in June, there were some interesting points mentioned in the demo: • Browser extensions are hard to use even if they are most universal • Infinex Connect was placed in the sweet spot of easy to use while being more universal (check attached image) • Infinex Connect would eliminate the need of browser extensions With @ben_kurrek leaking infinex connect extension over the weekend, many new questions arise regarding future of Infinex Connect: -> Why this sudden shift to browser based extension instead of deploying more dApps natively on connect? -> If browser extension was already in works, then why market Infinex Connect as 'browser extension killer'? -> Or is this part of Kain's roadmap to achieve PMF for Infinex faster? -> Will different project teams still use Connect SDK to build their dApps for Infinex connect? In my opinion, while Infinex Connect is a very novel approach with many inherent benefits like: - secure, phishing resistant environment - mobile friendly= portable - clean infinex UI/ UX yet, it must take significant time and resources to build upon Connect SDK thereby increasing deployment time for new dapps Whereas a browser based extension will let you connect your Infinex wallet directly to any available crypto product without the need to build native connect dapps (downside here being opposite of above mentioned benefits) I think @infinex team is taking this 'hybrid' approach to achieve a faster product market fit for Infinex > adapting and iterating fast is critical to achieve PMF (even if it means revisiting your earlier promises and improving them) My X honest cents.
