FIVE KILLED IN ANOTHER TRAGIC CRASH ON R66

A devastating head-on collision between a Hyundai Grand i10 and a Ford Ranger on the R66 in Dokodweni, Gingindlovu has claimed the lives of five people three adults and two children. The Hyundai, which was transporting eight passengers from Nongoma to Durban, left only three survivors. All four occupants of the Ford Ranger escaped with their lives.

KwaZulu-Natal MEC Siboniso Duma extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and instructed the Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) to strengthen road safety measures ahead of the school reopening. Both lanes of the road remain closed as emergency services work at the scene.
