Why Sequencers Matter in Layer 2s and How Centralization Risks Bitcoin’s Future

In any Layer X blockchain, the sequencer is a critical component. It manages transaction ordering, batching, block production, and ensures everything runs smoothly.

But here’s the problem:
Most L2s today rely on a single, centralized sequencer often controlled by the same team that built the chain.

That centralization creates real risk:
•Censorship: someone can block your transaction
•MEV: transactions can be reordered for profit
•Outages: if it fails, the whole network stalls
•Lack of transparency: no one knows what’s happening behind the scenes

For Bitcoiners, this goes against everything the ecosystem stands for.

GOAT Network says: not here.

It embraces decentralization where others compromise. This makes a huge difference for trust, security, and aligning incentives with the users not just the builders.

If you care about decentralized coordination, real transparency, and Bitcoin’s self-sovereign ethos, the sequencer model matters more than you think.

I remain super bullish on @GOATRollup and its native token $GOATED 🔥🤝
