This might be an unpopular opinion...but I think I'd do this?

I LOVE Cam Schlittler - genuinely feel really, really excited to watch his starts every time he pitches whether that was in AAA or now.

But there's so much risk in the playoffs here. We need a guy that can start game X this year, Kelly can. And with how good our pitching development is and how deep we are in the farm with guys like Lagrange/ERC/Hess/Cunningham/Herring/Beck/Lalane/Hampton the list goes on (+ the guys we drafted this year), I'm confident we can recreate another Schlittler. 

You can also resign Kelly to a short term deal next year if needed:

Cole
Fried
Rodon
Kelly
Gil/Warren/Schmidt (if hes back by the end)/Hampton/Beck

This is a good deal and it's something I think is worth
