There is people out there asking — what about Antoine Semenyo?

If I was inclined to always want to be the smartest guy in the room who loved to overthink things  — which I of course am not — I couldn’t have prevented myself from mentioning Semenyo.

And in addition — he hasn’t even played as a striker since he left Bristol, which makes it even more far fetched. Even if he probably is the closest to a perfect Amorim fit/potentisl Gyökeres copy out there. Someone that has a proven ability — in the PL, unlike Gyökeres — to be able to just put is head down and run through 3-4 defenders. In addition — the 70m release clause entered into his new contract won’t help either.

So I won’t even pitch him as an alternative. But I do wonder just how hard the club actually looked at him…
