XRP is used as a neutral, global bridge asset for cross-border transfers between non-USD currencies 

RLUSD is great for USD -USD or USD -XRP, but not for global FX corridors unless there’s deep RLUSD liquidity in those markets.

XRP is still the glue in corridors where stablecoins are illiquid or not accepted.

XRP enables atomic swaps between multiple fiat pairs via the XRP Ledger’s DEX.
RLUSD would need deep order books for every possible pair — which is unlikely in early adoption.

RLUSD will likely incur fiat custody, minting/redemption, and counterparty overhead, which XRP avoids.
