Adam Schiff is reportedly in trouble due to allegations of mortgage fraud, stemming from a criminal referral by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) to the Department of Justice. 

The referral, based on a Fannie Mae memo, claims Schiff misrepresented his primary residence to secure favorable loan terms for properties, including a Maryland home, between 2003 and 2019. President Trump has publicly commented on this, suggesting Schiff faces serious consequences, including potential prison time. 

However, these claims remain under investigation, and Schiff's office denies them, calling them politically motivated retaliation. 

No legal convictions have been confirmed as of now.
