@littlemykonos Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) are in various stages of being developed/trialled in around XX% of Central Banks around the world.  They’ll be a fantastic tool for use in a Wholesale / Institutional environment.  As far as a Retail environment, doubt we will ever see it.
