🧵 1/3 #OTD in 1989: Philippine Air Lines Flight 124, a BAC 1-11, crashes in Manilla (Philippines). All XX aboard survive, X on the ground die. Landing in bad weather, jet could not stop safely, overran runway and hit several cars. Inquiry highlighted crew actions on the maneuver.
