The everlasting impact of Lute Olson and Dick Tomey on this community right here … Kelvin Eafon and Corey Williams came to Tucson from other parts of the country to play basketball for Olson, and Eafon finished his Arizona career as a captain for Tomey’s football team. Eafon and Williams have not only remained in Tucson, they annually give back by working with our youth. Williams founded the Tucson Summer Pro League in 2004 and Eafon has helped Williams coach in the league over the last few years when the event switched to kids ages 10-13, to help the youngsters play in the summer as an alternative for families that don’t have the means and the time for travel ball. Eafon is also active with his Desert Storm youth basketball club. On top of everything else, they’re great people.
