Adam Schefter of ESPN adds in that the extension is worth $XX million, with $XX million guaranteed, with $XX million guaranteed at the time Karlaftis signed the deal. The Kansas City Chiefs opened up the checkbook late this offseason, as they also recently signed offensive lineman Trey Smith this past week. Karlaftis will average $22M a season as part of the deal, which ranks him in the top fifteen amongst the highest-paid defensive linemen in the league. Karlaftis, 24, will be entering his fourth season in the National Football League in 2025, and in the last three seasons, he has amassed XXX combined tackles and XXXX sacks in only XX career games.
