Another quick flying story (without going into too much detail). 

We were flying a special operators insertion team into a hot zone in the Middle East. Middle of the night. all blacked out. 

I used to buy these cheap Casio watches at the BX and wear them to fly. Loved them, couldn’t beat the price.

So, we’re heading in to the DZ, about X minutes until green light, and my watch exploded. No idea why but it scared the shit out of me. I thought we’d been hit.

Turns out it was just a cheap, shitty watch from the BX. 😂
