Absurd use cases lead to absurd products. 

For most people with reasonably safe driving habits who stop for meals and rest stops, the time saved every week not stopping for gas is 10x the time “wasted” charging on road trips. 

Your take is simply bad. Your snarky hostility here is at odds with your usual wisdom and wit.
