Thanks to the Relay Chain, all packets pass under common security, maintaining data consistency. The XCMP model uses HRMP channels as its foundation: parachains open bidirectional sessions to transmit messages with Relay Chain confirmations. This ensures that packets are not lost or duplicated. XCMP messages contain typed instructions: calling a smart contract function, transferring tokens, or updating status. The Relay Chain carefully checks each packet, protecting the network from unauthorized access and censorship. The key advantage of XCMP is high reliability and no additional trust in external solutions. Parachains interact directly, which reduces latency and increases network throughput compared to third-party protocol bridges. In the future, we plan to optimize routing, increase the number of simultaneous channels, and implement vertical XCMP. This will pave the way for large-scale DeFi bridges, cross-chain DAOs, and cross-chain NFT projects in a single secure ecosystem. XCMP and cross-chain communication in Polkadot
