It was so serious that Cambridge University had to shut down, and students were sent home including a XX year old student named Isaac Newton. Now, most people would’ve just relaxed or waited things out. But Newton? He went back to his family farm, Woolsthorpe Manor, and got to work alone. No teachers, no classmates, no internet. Just him, his notebook, and his crazy curiosity. During that one year at home, he ended up doing things that would literally change the world: He started developing calculus (yep, the subject that haunts many students today). He came up with the basic ideas of gravity and motion what later became his famous laws of physics. He did experiments with light and prisms and figured out that white light is made of colors. He even built a small telescope. That one quiet, isolated year became known as Newton’s “Year of Wonders.” So basically, while the world was dealing with a pandemic, Newton was inventing modern science in his backyard. Moral of the story? A little peace, time, and curiosity can do wonders even without Wi-Fi. 😄 XX engagements **Related Topics** [newton](/topic/newton) [Post Link](https://x.com/pradyumn93/status/1947026109289365952)
