This is why I keep saying short volatility assets that were bought to generate yield have way more risk than you think.

Long volatility stores of value (like BTC) become more in demand after a generation of recycling insurance premiums/taxes for public pensions into Comm RE has proven to be a lot riskier than they thought.

My only question is who is holding the losses on Comm RE assets? Is it regional banks? Pensions? Endowments? Or did they hold these buildings for so long it’s all equity?

Very curious why there hasn’t been more fallout from these drastic price cuts. Any ideas?
